Bucharest, Romania, 12.10.2009
One of the most established Romanian tour operators, Eximtur, has renewed its distribution deal with Travelport, one of the world’s leading global distribution system (GDS) providers, cementing a relationship that has spanned more than 12 years. Eximtur has now been a customer of Travelport’s Worldspan platform since 1997.
Eximtur, a tour operator specialising in both leisure and business travel, has agencies in all the major cities in Romania. It offers flight bookings, corporate travel services, conference and events bookings and support and is also a leader in tourism programmes for inbound travellers to Romania.
Anca Stanese, Travelport GDS regional manager for Southern Eastern Europe commented: “Worldspan has a long standing relationship with Eximtur and we have watched their business go from strength to strength over the years. I’m delighted to be renewing our GDS agreement with them and we will hopefully continue to play an important role over the coming months as we work with them to help achieve their business ambitions. Travelport’s recent heightened focus in this region which has resulted in the recruitment of additional local resources and the roll out of innovative, new technology equips us more than ever with the right skill set and tools to really act as a strategic partner to our customers in the region. ”
General Manager of Eximtur, Lucia Nora Morariu, said: “Eximtur has successfully worked with Travelport’s Worldspan platform for a considerable period of time.
